Hey, remember me? It’s been so long since I posted here on the blog. Probably the longest I have ever gone without writing anything, and I know it’s because life is so hectic at the moment. The new job I started is going really well, the kids have transitioned so well too, but between drop offs, work, activities and family time, there hasn’t been much time for new posts. I figured that the blog would have a transition period as well, but I wanted to do a little catch up today to say that I’m still here! I don’t want my creative journal to fade into the internet and be forgotten all together. It will take a lot of work to balance a new job, two toddlers, a fun summer and a blog but I do know that I am happier than ever and want this time in my life to be documented as much as possible.
Today after church we spotted a beautiful lilac tree and decided to do an impromptu photo shoot! Why is it that the impromptu photo shoots always go a million times better than the ones you plan for weeks? I really need to do this more often. I absolutely love lilacs and grew up with my mom having them in our kitchen every summer. It reminds me of my childhood, so to have my kids pick some with us today was really special.
