Today is the day that I have been waiting for my entire life – we are going to pick up the newest member of our family, Texas! Tex is a F1b English goldendoodle, and this week he is going to be 8 weeks old and ready to come home! This whole process started back in the Fall when we started looking for goldendoodle breeders. We went to visit Hazy Daisy Doodles in Salisbury and almost instantly knew that they were the right breeders for us! Tracy and her family were so friendly and helpful from the very beginning, and have been wonderful to work with throughout this whole process. We waited patiently all winter for the puppies to arrive, and finally, on June 29th, 8 beautiful goldendoodles were born! A few weeks later we found out that this precious cream boy was going to be ours!
Hazy Daisy Doodles has made this such an exciting time for us! They have a fantastic Facebook group for past, present and future puppy owners that provides great advice and feedback from all the other doggie owners! They also gave us weekly picture updates so you can see how fast the puppies grow! Check out how much Texas has changed in the past 7 weeks, and how he has become the biggest puppy of the litter!
When he was 4 weeks old we went down for a visit and got to interact with him face to face! It was so exciting to play with him and see what type of personality he was starting to take on. I think he is going to be fairly laid back, and definitely a little goofy – which I love!
I mean, could he be any cuter? I am so excited to start this journey and welcome a new member into our little family! Stay tuned for more updates from Texas! And if you are interested in becoming a goldendoodle or labradoodle owner, make sure to check out Hazy Daisy’s Website – as they have two litters planned for next month and are still accepting a couple of names! Wish us luck as we start the next chapter of our newlywed life! Happy weekend everyone!
(P.S. I am already one of those crazy dog owners, and have gone as far as setting up an Instagram account for the fella! lol Don’t judge – and feel free to follow! @texasthedoodle)
