Now that the word is out and I am (finally) clear of my first trimester, I’d like to start doing monthly updates throughout my pregnancy here on the blog! This is more or less a way for me to remember the different stages that I go through, and be able to look back on down the road! I am 14 weeks along and I am going to be completely honest with you… making a human is hard y’all!! I know everyone has a completely different experience with pregnancy, but let me just say that no one has ever really prepared me for this. I am one of the “lucky” ones that literally was sick since the day I found out we were expecting. Morning sickness (which is really all day sickness) was in full swing and there is really nothing fun about it. It is definitely the hardest thing I have ever gone through.
As happy and excited as I am to be pregnant, it was hard to show those emotions when all I felt like doing was laying still on the couch waiting for the sickness to pass. I am finally starting to come around and feel more like myself, and for that I am so thankful! I know that I will enjoy the second trimester so must more than the first, and I couldn’t be more excited to bring a little one into our family! So here is a little questionnaire that I will be filling out every month or so, to track this wonderful. crazy, emotional journey that I am on! As always, thanks for stopping by!
How far along: 14 weeks! Goodbye first trimester (you will not be missed)!
Baby’s size: Size of a lemon! 3.4 inches and 1.5 ounces.
I’m feeling: So much better – but still not 100% yet! Hopefully within the next few weeks I will feel more myself!
Symptoms: Tired, still have waves of nausea, extremely emotional!
Food love: Fruit smoothies (literally every morning since week 5), Tostito lime chips, oranges and peanut butter.
Food hate: Chicken breast! Which is so weird because before my pregnancy we probably ate chicken 4 nights a weeks! I cannot stand the smell of it cooking!
Currently living in: Lululemon pants and these pregnancy tank tops from Target. My pants still fit but I have used the hair elastic trick a few times. I will be busting out my maternity clothes very soon!
Looking forward to: Having more energy, not feeling sick and finding out the gender!!
